Bounty In Boise!

I just returned from a "hired gun" job in Boise, Idaho.
It turns out little ol' Boise is having growing pains in the form of bank robbers, drug addicts and welfare rats!
He-he!
Welcome to big city status - you "potato heads"!
Anyway the business we were hired to protect is offering a $6,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of the welfare rat, drug addict, bank robbing "Varmint" who robbed the bank in the 3500 block of State street (3 times in the last 12 months)!
The bank has now taken several steps to protect itself and its employees.
But I have a firm belief (hunch) that the aforementioned human "Varmint" lives in the "welfare housing" units just a couple blocks northeast of the bank!
Anyone with some time to "look around" in said den of inequity could easily make themselves $6,000.00!!!
Thats equal to about five new Varmint Rifles and scopes!
A picture of said "Varmint" can easily be obtained from the Boise Police or maybe even the F.B.I. and the lucrative Hunt would be on!
Boise was a beautiful place and I had been "through" Boise countless times - but had never stopped there. I am glad I got to spend some "quality time" there.
I got to do the new Cabela's Store the Sportsmans Warehouse and a couple small shops while I was working there last week!
Not far (10 blocks!) from the motel our team was staying in, a man was "killt" Friday night! He was shot "several times" according to police news releases, and found in the playground of a Church early Saturday morning. To compound the tragedy the mans name was "Johnny Many Wounds"!
He, in fact, did die of "many wounds", like his native American surname described!
Shame!
Well I have earned some more "mad money" and its just lying there in my safe, waiting for Remington to "get off the pot" and burp up some 17 Remington Fireball Rifles!
None of the shops in Boise had any 17 Remington Fireball Rifles, ammunition or dies.
By all means if anyone is near the town of Boise, Idaho stop in and "experience" the Cabelas store there.
Wow!
The Cabelas folks had a really good supply and variety of the Fox-Pro line of electronic game calls! I am working on a scam deal for one or would have bought one there!
I SURE could have used that $6,000.00 in bounty money, myself!
Maybe I will "drift" back over Boise way this weekend and do some "Varmint bounty Hunting"?
Long live the "Oro de Plata" state!
Growing pains can be a bitch!

Hey varmintguy, I didn't know there were so many lowlifes in Boise... I suppose they're in every town. I've heard the Cabelas in Boise is impressive and hope to see it sometime. About 10 years ago I passed by Cabelas in Sydney Neb. and thought oh I'll just stop next time, haven't been by there since. I hope you get the 6 grand!

VarmintGuy,

I've read that Cabela's is going to build a store in Post Falls and they have purchased land in Billings for a store.

Lets do coffee some time.

No comment on the person making unauthorized bank withdrawals; gratefully, that's somewhat outside of my area of experience.

The relatively new Cabela's just outside of Austin, Texas (Buda) is not doing that well. It seems that the business off of the Interstate is not what they projected.

As far as the locals, the medium-to-low end stuff is much less expensive at Academy (five locations in town), and there are a couple of shops that cater to the high end that are more "personal" than Cabela's.

After making a big deal of staffing up and interviewing hundreds (if not thousands) of applicants, they were laying off employees only a few months after opening. I stopped in Cabela's less than a month before Christmas and found that the business in the entire store was being handled by a single checkout line -- and there was only one customer in front of me when I went to check out (with my single item that was out of stock at Academy).

The facility may be impressive, and I love wandering around looking at the mounted heads and other displays, but it looks like to me that this location has to be a big-time money loser for them. I suppose it helps that they milked the local governments for Millions in incentives to locate there.

Do other Cabela's locations appear to be doing as poorly?

Snapper: Absolutely - the coffe is on me!
What part of Big Sky Country are you near abouts?
I live just a couple miles outside Dillon here in SW!

Stonecreek: The "realities" of "capitalism" can sometimes seem cruel!
I hate to see anyone loose a job!
Having said that I have to agree that the prices there at Cabelas were pretty "full" (high?).
They did though have an extremely large variety of items including a great variety of Berger bullets and Varmint bullets by virtually every maker, in exceptionally good "supply"!
I live in a town with ONE bullet seller! And he has maybe 150 boxes total of Rifle and pistol bullets!
The nearest good selection of bullets is 65 miles each way for me, AND I have to cross the Continental Divide to get there!
So I was very impressed with the variety and the quality they carried - AND with the quality of the staffing in several of their departments, that I spoke with!
Again its a shame anyone lost their job even though it may have been short lived to begin with!
AND Cabelas did actually HAVE a great selection of Fox-Pro electronic game calls on their shelves!
You just don't see that everywhere!
I KNOW - I been lookin!
The "free market" will deal with Cabelas - one way or the other!
People will either keep them in business or they will go broke!
I NEVER get to shop at Cabelas in person as the nearest one (Boise, Idaho) is 427 miles (each way!) from me!
The Post Falls site would not only be closer I actually travel that way rather often (sick and elderly parent out thataway!).
I wish only the best for the Cabelas folks.

Idaho Vandal: If you decide to go I will try and forward the robbery cam video pictures for you.
I "KNOW" this drug sickened, welfare rat, white trash, cowardly, robber lives in the "welfare ghetto" just a couple blocks from the scene of his robberies!
I am socked in for now with 8" and counting of MUCH needed fresh snow here!
Its a long drive for me but I think theres a 20 to 30% I could find this cretin!
I could sure use 6 Grand (or 3 Grand if I had to split it with you!)!
My Glock is now in the "repair shop" for a while, but I have some other pistol iron that would tide us over!
He-he!
Human Varmints - and this one has a BOUNTY!
You getting any of this snow?
