Today I took a trip out to Lakeview and the Bonanza area in Klamath County...altitude is between 4500 ft in Bonanza to 5000ft in Lakeview...

Spring is a little slow this year, and so have the squirrels been late in popping up.. however, they have started popping up in the last week or so...

Saw more dirt mounds out in the Lakeview area, than in Bonanza.. but both areas look like they are going to have good shooting opportunities in a couple of weeks..

a few hardy and wishful souls have evidently already been out trying but have left in frustration due to low numbers, according to a couple of ranchers I spoke to today...
