Anyone shoot these? What about the slick-silver coating, are they calling it that, instead of moly? Give me some pro's or con's. Thanks, BA

I asked the same question a few weeks ago and recieved many positive replies. No negitive ones. I phoned in an order to a very friendly person. I have shot a few of the bullets and am pleased with the early results.

Clahoon advertises in VHA magazine and seems to have great products and support.

I have shot them in the Tromix AR-15's chambered in 17 Remington and they shot very well. Groups ran under 1/2" no problem.

I'm meaning to load some Calhoon bullets for my 22-250, but have not done so yet. Can't decide which weight to shoot. The 50gr double hollow point that I'd like to shoot have a 3600fps speed limit, and a 22-250 could break that, I'm sure. I dont know what their "slick silver" is, but if I had to bet a nickle on it, I would guess it's zinc.

Tried the 50gr double HP in my Tikka 22/250. Didn't shoot for beans no matter what powder or primer combination. Loaded up some for a friend's Remington 788 22/250. It loved them. Five shot groups around 0.5 to 0.75". Using 36.0gr Varget to make sure we don't go over the 3600fps. They worked pretty fine on several coyotes that happened to run in front of them.
