I am wanting to do some coyote hunting this year. I do not have alot of experience with coyote's. I only killed three in 2006. I want to buy an electronic caller. I am looking at the Johnny Stewart Prey Master PM4 with REMOTE Control # PM4. I can get one for around $200. That is about as much as I would like to spend. I am new to electronic calls. Please give me some advice about this caller. Which cards?? Any and all opinions are welcome. Thanks, Tom.

As a side note I saw one of these on sale for $299. Any comments??? Tom.

FOXPRO Inc. will no longer be manufacturing our long-lasting model 416 with the TX5-LR remote control. The remaining inventory of these items will be sold at a highly reduced price. Every unit is brand new, features the TX5-LR remote control, 16 sounds of your choice, and comes in a Mossy Oak Break-

While I am still old-fashioned and prefer mouth calls, I must admit the electronic callers are great and offer some significant advantages, particularly if you call alone as I generally do.

I have the FoxPro 416B and love it. I also had a Compucaller (Burnham Brothers) and really liked it, though at the time I didn't use it much and eventually sold it.

Forgot to add: As to cards and sounds, much will depend on your area. The cottontail rabbit in distress is the old standby & works well, but if the 'yotes have been pressured, a changeup is often best. Kid goat in distress, kitten in distress and the various bird in distress sounds are good candidates here. The combined sounds such as coyotes pups and rabbit seem to do quite well also and, like the bird in distress, are also deadly on 'cats.
