Our first day out was sunday and was the best day of shooting we've ever seen, between 350 and 400 dogs in 8-9 hours, great weather-no wind, lots of dogs.

Monday and tuesday were windy as hell, the dogs were still out but really skiddish, still alot of fun. I played with the 6mm-284 quite a bit in the wind and it better than the 22-250 for sure, maybe not as good as I was expecting but very predicable.

Didnt run out of ammo for any gun, we actually have a bunch left.

sounds like you need another trip - just to use up ammo of course
was wondering with all the storms that were coming through. getting caught out in the gumbo isn't fun at all

We didnt see much rain just some mean winds. In our group in two days we had 2 mules, a 4 wheeler and a 6 wheeler stuck at a few crick crossings but we worked it all out and nobody had to walk. None of that was from the rain, just shady crossings.

one time a few years back we were camped in the middle of a big town. We heard it rain in the middle of the night, but just made for better sleeping. Next morning we were in a sea of gumbo. Didn't get out for 2 days, but sure did shoot a hellovalot of dogs. we were about out of ammo when it dried up enough to drive out

Gumbo is realy nasty stuff I head for black top at the frist sign of rain. Doesn't take much to make your travelling very hard.

If I may ask, in what state was the hunt? I'm headed for Montana this week for a 3 day hunt.
