I ordered a charger for my E-caller from http://www.minaskaoutdoors.com/ back in december of last year... when it hadn't came in the mail after a month, i got back online and it said "pending" Does anyone know if this company still exists? I have tried calling them with no luck. I even have Steve borland on facebook and he won't answer any of my questions when i talk to him or send him messages. any info would be helpful! thanks

The Borlands sold Minaska to Flambeau Outdoors which is part of the Nordic Group. You might try this number: 800-457-5252.

thank you sir! I wish they would take down their web page so other people will not have this problem. I have been told the Borlands are not that great at running a business, maybe that is why they sold?
once again, thank you!

I sent my Bandit in for repair the end of last year and was unable to make any contact. I have written off a $400+ E-call. Good luck!

Bob in TX, have you heard anything from them? I was able to get a hold of steve, via email (the phone on the webpage is someone's home phone now apparently). he claimed the charger was in the mail 11 days ago... and then said i should see it in 2-3 days. since then i've sent two or three emails with no reply. sounds like they don't deserve a business if this is how they treat paying customers... money was taken out of my account and i expect the product i bought.
I was also told by a friend of mine that they owe him a huge amount of money for sponsorship...but says that is how they roll, and they will never see the money. i will absolutely NEVER recommend minaska to anyone other than someone i think needs to GIVE AWAY money.
For anyone who doesn't want to get ripped off DO NOT buy anything from MINASKAOUTDOORS

I have not heard from or about them for some time now. They are maintaining a very low profile. Thanks for the update and good luck. I will do some more checking. A good friend helped them with some upgrades and changes a wile back.

Good Luck!

Bob

The Borlands are hanging out on the Minaska web-site and the forum there. It is Members Only. You just need the serial # of your Minaska caller to join. You can talk with them there. Keep us posted.

Here is some info and the link: http://texaspredatorposse.ipbh....php?showtopic=12491

I had something similar happen and wrote to the Attorney General in the State that they were doing business in. Also, Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and others. I would also post a warning to others on as many hunting web sites as I could find.

Before I was done with them, the seller was writing and even calling and beggin me to stop filing complaints. They had to give written answers to some of them.

I would also send something to the Web Master. Maybe they can block ads by this company if they are running any.

I tried several times and it just keeps telling me the serial # is not valid...There are several digits that appear to be 0's so i tried that a few times, then tried 8 in place of the 0's and still nothing. This caller was purchased in october of 09 so maybe they cleared all the serial numbers that were purchased before a certain date. Thanks dmullen, i will see what i can do.

These guys are total dirt-bags. I bought a $400 caller from them, it broke after the first use. I sent it back, after several letters and phone calls I got it "repaired" - it was a new, or at least another unit, not the one I sent in. This one worked sometimes but produced less volume than a 5 pack a day smoker honking on a plastic mouth call. I complained, they told me there were "problems" I sent it back, months later more nasty letters more disconnected phone numbers. Finally, a complaint to the USPS for mail fraud got their attention. Got another unit in the mail. Worked fine unless it was cold... no, not kidding. Just how useless that could that possibily be in a Montana winter is self evident. They changed their address, switched phone numbers again, useless. I called Flambeau Outdoors and talked to a service rep and told them they were risking their companies reputation by having any association with Minaska as Minaska were lying sacks of excrement.

i would take dmullens advice then. and try to get your money back. I have never had anything go wrong with my caller besides the card went bad, and he actually sent me a new one. i had to ask him several times to send it, but he eventually did get it sent. but since then i haven't had any good luck at all.
