Just FYI, this has come up again recently, the Wyoming Game and Fish has decided in their infinite wisdom to not allow PD shooters and coyote hunters to use a moderated rifle to hunt any species.

What other states are on this bandwagon.

We need to get to the point where a supressor is cheap and easy to get like the UK and New Zealand, instead of like Australia where it is considered to be one of the 7 deadly sins.

I think in Texas you can use them for everything BUT game animals.

Illegal in NY state to hunt "with any firearm equipped with a silencer."

"Hunting" includes all wildlife, including predators.

While I can only wish, the next Ice Age will be here before they are legal in NY.

Idaho allows them for hunting anything.

I have some and they are great for the preservation of your hearing. Most of the lads don't use/need ear protection with the cans.

When shooting the high velocity center-fire rounds these suppressors are not Hollywood quiet but what they do indeed do is destroy the sound trail for a good distance and it makes it hard for the critter to identify the source of the shot. I've shot over coyotes at long distances and actually had them run towards me. When shooting subsonic rounds, they can be Hollywood quiet. They do add some weight to the end of the barrel and can change the point of impact when removed/put one. They are a blast to shoot. And I don't understand the ban on them. If you want an ideal poacher's weapon it's the bow and arrow.

In the UK and Down Under it considered "bad form" not to have one one your shooter.

Nice photos and great looking shooters. Tell us more about those shooters and the cans.
