I have a .223 which I'll use for coyotes. I have never used any Berger bullets, but have some 52gr MEF non-molys on the way.
How are these on coyotes? Do they open too quickly and would the standard match be better suited?

I have 50gr vmax loaded now which shoots very well(.5moa to .25moa), but I like to experiment. I have yet to fire the vmax at a yote either.
I thought either would be ok at .223 speeds.

I also have 55gr vmax ordered to try

They make a big hole in a woodchuck on the way out.

If they do that on a chuck, they should explode and stay in a yote. As long as they get in the yote first

3020 fps w/ an MEF in a 6PPC will cut a PD in half at 200 yds. (there is NO exit "hole")

are they best left for use on chucks and PD's?
Another words, will they get in a yote first, then blow up?

My .22-250 w/ 37.5 gr. of VarGet and the Berger 52 gr. MEF has exited every coyote I've shot w/ it. The exit holes are usually the size of an orange and some have been the size of a LARGE grapefruit. I've shot 9 coyotes with this combination.

Wonder how the .223 will do with it. The 22-250's velocity shoul make it more explosive

sir i use the 52gr burger mef(moly) bullet out of a 22br that dose not exit when you shot coycotes.these bullets also shot 5 shot 100 yard groups in the teens out of this gun.i also shot the 52 gr berger(moly) bullet.we head and neck shoot does with these loads up to 300 yards.drops them in there tracks.i have a new 22-250 that i am loading the berger 52 gr mef.i have not been able to shoot i coyote yet.we have cows and during caving season we always lose some to coyotes. so i hunt them hard.berger makes a good bullet.they are extremely accuratere.

I tried them on coyotes a couple of years ago and got huge exits with my 22-250. I use the Sierra #1365 55 gr. BTSP or 50 gr. BT's now.

Good Hunting,

Bob
