thumbThe new Savage did not like American Eagle ammo at all.

25 gr. 2230-c, WSR primer, RP case, all at 50 yds.

55gr.psp.--a little sooty, 3 shot 1/4" grp.

60 gr. Barrier-First 3 1/2" grp. Next 6 3/8" grp.

55gr FMJ-BT, Mid South bulk 3 shot 3/4" grp.

The trigger was really to my liking even though it was set at 4 lbs from the factory.

For the type of bullets I used it was a good performer.

The bolt handle knob rested on my trigger finger knuckle and although the recoil was light I found this a little annoying.

For the fist time out the results were gratifying and i would give the rifle high marks. beerroger

After purchasing my latest Savage rifle (12VLP .22-250), it's hard to justify buying anything else when the out-of-the-box accuracy and value are so tough to beat. Consistant 1/2 MOA shooting is hard to argue with!
