Which bullet weight are you looking for? I am sure I am not alone,.. but I have at least a dozen loads for each bullet weight in 22 caliber that work real well in each particular 223 I own... then I have different velocity ranges depending on what I am shooting at and how far... so what are you thinking of.... OK, here you go. 2 loads, both with Hornady 50 gr Vmax, bullet #22261, seated to 2.200" OAL. Rem brass, Rem 7 1/2 primers. 1. 25.5 gr of BL(C)-2. This is the "real" mil-surp stuff, not the commercial powder. I think the burn rate is slightly different, but it would be a starting point. This load goes into 1/2" groups all day. 2. 28.5 gr of H-380. Not quite as tight a group, averages 3/4", but is very consistent. Rifle is the Stevens 200, only modification is I lightened the factory trigger from 20 pounds to about 4 lbs and no creep. My factory bbl is 1-9". In my LE1 it loves 24gr H322 topped with 50gr V Max and Win small rifle primers. One ragged hole and a pure PD buster. Been known to kill a few yotes and cats too. Texas Verminator Verminator Predator Calls Pro Staff | |||
