I have a beautiful Sako AI in 17 Rem with the pencil barrel. I am looking to put a Leupold 2-7 on it because a large scope would not look right on this trim little rifle. Do you think the 2-7 will be enough scope? Most shots will be less than 300 yards; more likely 100-150 yards. Lou **************** NRA Life Benefactor Member

How about a 3-10x44 Zeiss Conquest or I would actually mount a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 its 13.86" long but will I think not look to bad and give you a some serious magnification. Personally I think a 2-7 is a little under done on a varmint gun. The zeiss 4.5-14 I have on my 7mm is very sharp and clear.

PC, thanks for you response. Everyone else, please disregard. I did a search and found that I asked the same question in 12/03 and was able answer my question a second time. Lou **************** NRA Life Benefactor Member
