| Yep, I love the 55 gr. B-tip, as does my M788 with 53 gr. of H380, .5" on a good day, under an inch every day. Yardbird |

| I have a Browning-Sako heavy barrel .243 that is outstanding with the 70 grain Ballistic Tip. I was surprised and delighted to find that when I tried the 55 grain Ballistic Tip, it was fully the equal, or perhaps a bit better, in accuracy. I have not yet had an opportunity to try it in the field on prairie dogs, but hope to in the near future. It will be interesting to see if it is disadvantaged compared to the 70 grainer by longer ranges and wind.
BTW, I'm getting about 4000 fps from the 55's with a charge of IMR 4895. I'm sure other powders in the "medium" burning range would work well also. |

| I've been shooting them for a couple years now, out of a Savage110. Very accurate indeed. I've shot 5 coyotes with them from 50 yards out to 300 yards. Flattens em. I hav'nt shot them on windy days, but then again, windy days usually suck for calling yotes anyhow. They're awesome, just don't shoot anything bigger. Trigger |

| what interestes me more is, I've heard if you set these tiny pills well into the neck you get better accuracy than if you try to get them up to the lands. Has that been the case?
How far do you get the to jump? |

| I was ignorant of runout, which is the reason that it's recommended you seat these bullets deeper. Unless you have a custom chamber, you won't reach the lands anyway. I seat them deep enough to fit in my 788 magazine and a little deeper to reduce runout. 53 gr. H380, watch out, it completely fill the case! Yardbird |

| Express, I have yet to find out about the 55 gr 6mm B-Tip but I do know (and the relationship is the same I think) that when I loaded 40 gr .224 dia. B-Tips to the same OAL as Winchester 50 gr Ballistic Silver Tips (short of Nosler manual Length for the 40s) so that all of the caliber dia. section was in the case mouth they shot much better than trying to seat them out any. Hopefully the .243 Lone Eagle will be here Monday or Tuesday so I can find out on the 6mm 55's. Sean |
