I took a group hog hunting in south Texas over the weekend. I just got a new Savage Model 11 22-250 that had not been in the field yet. I have been wanting to try one of the new Savages for some time. I got up before the rest of the gang Saturday morning and took my Savage and Loudmouth caller out for a quick stand right at first light. I called in and took a nice male after about five minutes of calling. I also put a nice meat hog on the ground the night before. I really like the Savage.....except for the 100 lb. trigger pull. I will put a Rifle Basix trigger on very soon.......
