In the universe of unexplainable inappropriateness, this one is a real mind bender - if true. On the IMDB web site, I was investigating "Monk" series television episodes. One episode I don't particularly care for is "Mr. Monk and the Captain's Marriage." Clicking on the episode's TRIVIA screen I read egregiously inappropriate information: Graffito on the wall of a sleazy hotel room was scrawled DEATH TO ISRAEL in Arabic. The most obvious question must be: Is that graffito present? Considering all elements of this superb series, I find this graffito unlikely. Here is a place where "It must be true; I saw it on the Internet," comes into its own. If it is, in fact, present, I suspect none of the cast, production staff, or writers was aware of it. . . which mean, to me, that some third-rate temporary grunt worker has little desire to be employed in broadcast entertainment in the United States. It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson | ||
