Tho I haven't done it in a while, I know that if I tilt my head back as far as possible, I can "pour" a 12 ounce beer down my throat and feel it hit my stomach without swallowing.

How fast I can drink a beer depends...

-on what mood I'm in.
-on what time of day it is.
-who I'm trying to impress.
-what kind of beer it is.

In the early 70's when distances were measured by 6 packs it was generally given that a 6 pack was about 2 1/2 hours at 70 mph. At 20-30 mph over gravel logging roads it could be as few as 2 hours.

If you need to drink beer that fast you should switch to whiskey.

Friend of mine was able to do a six pack in the time it took to go 2 miles on the interstate, so less than 20 seconds per beer including opening them.

Yes it's cocked, and it has bullets too!!!

Good european or microbrew beer, I'll put a nipple on it. Light beer in the heat of summer, damn fast, especially after yard work. Skunk water, give it to my neighbor's dog......

When I was at college at Rice, we had a school event called the Beer-Bike race,. It happened at the end of the school year where each of the eight residential colleges would compete. It was a relay race of teams of 20. The first chugger would chug a tallboy followed by the first rider biking around a quarter mile track and then the second chugger, etc.

This was serious stuff. 3000 kids would show up to watch, riders ran on $3000 bikes and were a few seconds off olympic times and chugging became a practiced art. The chugging team had bi-weekly practices and try-outs for 7 months.

The technique was to open up the top of the can to about a two inch hole that you could put your mouth around and punch two holes in the bottom for air to get in. Warm flat beer was much faster. A competitive time was about 2.2 seconds.
