Whenever you add the digits of a 2-digit number and then subtract the result from the original number, the answer is always a multiple of 9. If you look at the chart, all multiples of 9 have the same symbol by them. Jon Larsson - Hunter - Shooter - Reloader - Mostly in that order...

I don't buy it: One of my end numbers was 74 which is not a multiple of 9 at all. Also if you look at the table, the logic is not as Jon says. A.k.a. Bwana One-Shot

What was your starting number? And how is my logic wrong? The symbol changes from game to game, but when they show you the chart each time, for that chart, all the multiples of 9 have the same symbol. I'd say try it again and check your math this time. If you ended up with 74, then the gopher got your sign wrong, yes? Here's an example or two: Orginal number = 67. 6+7=13. 67-13=54. 54 is a multiple of 9. Original number = 91. 9+1=10. 91-10=81. 81 is a multiple of 9. Original number = 12. 1+2=3. 12-3=9. 9 is a multiple of 9. Jon Larsson - Hunter - Shooter - Reloader - Mostly in that order...
