In my travels around this little blue and green ball we call home I have noticed a strange coincindence or likness between guns and women from the same country. Take your beloved German rifle, it is reliable and the engineering could be considered flawness but it is a little thick (read fat)Have you ever seem a skinny german barmaid?

Now let us look at the French....pretty to look at, but difficult to operate and nobody knows how to fix them...ie Darne or any bird on the left bank...you have to have been there to know.

On the the Spanish, lovly to look at and breathtaking to hold....but you never know when the engineering is suspect and in the back of your mind you always wonder just when it is all going to come apart. Ever seen a little hotblooded chica come totally unscrewed...my ego still bears the bruises.

Now let's look to Italy. the women have a light in their eye and fire in their blood. The guns from Italy seems to have that inner spark that makes them all seem to be built just for you. All in all the Romans seem to have reached that perfect balance between function and art.

On to the Pom's I guess they do get credit for creating the industry. (bespoke guns) and I think the mail order bride started there too. lol

The Brit guns all seem pretty much the same solid engineering and looks that run the gambit... same as the women...if you want a good one better stay near the top of the market.

Now for the Americans...most are found at a bar. Guns at the BPS, Cabelas, and Gander Mountian gun counter, the same for the women no matter what bar you get them from, they pretty much look the same. You can send them to a specialist and have them customized to be the gun/girl of your dreams but that will be spendy. For the most part they all look the same and you have to spend money on them to get them to function at their peak.

I guess it it true in women and guns...to each his own and there is someone out there for everyone. My grandfather told me when I caught the "gun bug","Son you can't shoot them all" and when I caught the "girl bug", "Son you can't xxxx them all". But what a wonderful life I have had in making the attempt!

So O'Wise Walter...as you are a world travler too, do you see the same simalarities as you trot about the globe?

Nice thing about plain guns and plain women as long as they are solidly built they will last you a life time and pretty much look the same at the end of the run.

Interesting. My wife is Czech/German; and I've recently taken a likeing to vz-24's.

My preference in guns is the same as in women, anything that goes BANG. I love them all.
