NaphtaliWhere to obtain photgraphs and biography?
My great uncle, I have been told, led an interesting life. My parents have a postcard whose decoration is a photograph of a statue of him somewhere in Israel.
Russian-born Alexander Zeyd (the way our family spells it), I have been told, was a member of The Watchmen (Hashomer??), a vigilante group in British-mandate Palestine. I believe he was killed during the insurrection of 1936. I've used AltaVista and Clusty search engines for more information, especially photographs I can download, but have found nothing.
I will appreciate assistance in identifying Alexander Zeyd more precisely, including photographs.
This may give you a place to start. It appears the spelling has in fact changed over the years.
