Oh yeah, it's nuts... For those NASCAR guys out there, Jeff Gordon owns one like that... Just amazing what "renting" your name will get you when you're somebody... I've seen some info a a 126 ft sportsfisher Eeker... Just something wrong with a boat that is bigger then two of the biggest "off the rack" sportfishers and 3 times most... I'll tell you what though, it's beautiful thumb... http://www.trinityyachts.com/126marlena.asp

rotflmo

Course when you can afford something like that you don't need to have the beer cooler handy, you just have somebody get you a fresh one from the tap in the bar Big Grin...

By the way, the bait wells and holding tanks are back behind the fishing deck and the trolling motor is actually a jet turbine mounted inboard....

I could probably learn how to "deal" with a 126 foot fishing boat to drown worms and drink beer if I HAD too Big Grin ...

On one of the mega yacht websites theres an article about a Russian businessman with a dilemma .He spends 1/2 his time in Europe and 1/2 in the USA. His solution was to get a matched pair of yachts one parked in each area !! dancing dancing

Ray,

Octopus (414 feet and $200 mil cost) is owned by Paul Allen, who also owns Tatoosh a 300 footer and he may still also own Meduse a mere 198 foot yacht.

The mega yachts of the super rich are unbelievable for us normal folk. I love boats and somewhat follow the big yacht scene for the fun of it. Want a nice 180-200 foot Feadship built to your specs? Pony up big dollars...I'm guessing 60 to 100 mil. Heck some of these guys have "Shadow" boats of 130-200 feet built to hold more toys (and fuel, spares, etc) for the "real" yacht.

I guess if your worth billions (or MANY billions) it works for you.

John

For those who need something just "a little" bigger there is this one named Al Salamah..

Nice Diggy

At 457 feet is was the largest when it was completed in 1999 by Lurssen... Saeed may have seen this one as it spends most of its time in the Persian Gulf...

Did you notice the painting of the baobab tree in Norman's boat?
