Original bayonet mount with heat shield for Winchester 1897 pump shotguns can be installed on Winchesters and, with a little futzing, IAC 97 reproductions. Periodically, reproductions of this OEM mount with heat shield are also made. Anyone aware of a current source?

Many currently made military and paramilitary pump shotguns, such as Mossberg's 590, have bayonet mounts with heat shields available for purchase. Because of the difficulty in finding these devices for Winchester/IAC pump shotguns, are devices for "other" pump shotguns adaptable to the 97 pumps? If such adapting occurs, who does them?

There were Norinco and IAC trenchguns manufactured and imported. I have seen repro heat shield and bayonet lug assemblies sold as add ons. I would try an IAC dealor and see if they could order one for you.
