Some time ago I queried the forum to provide a link to the song, Die Gedanken Sind Frei (approximately: My Thoughts Are Free) - a song of defiance sung in the Nazi death camps. The link provided was perfect - and then I migrated from Macintosh OS 9.2 to OS X. I've lost several Mozilla bookmarks during my transition to Firefox among which was Die Gedanken Sind Frei. I've searched and found several links to its lyrics and its tune, but none where the song is sung. Please direct me to a rendition of the song. It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson

Here is a version on YouTube.com Die Gedanken sind Frei In case you didn't know it, that song was written by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben..... he's the poet who wrote the words to "Das Lied der Deutschen" (which most Americans would recognize when they hear the opening wrods in the first stanza......"Deutschland, Deutschland über alles,".

I appreciate the link. What I seek is the song that this time I can download - no video included. It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson

DaMan, my compliments (probably the first time). You actually were able to be of service to a fellow poster and give a straight answer. There is hope. Best GWB
