Locally the office campus has expansive lawns with a stream and ponds (it's a glorified drainage culvert). It's a nice place to eat lunch, except the Canada Geese have taken to the ponds, then they poop in the grass -- creating a "hazard" for office workers sitting on the lawn for lunch. Various "repellants' were tried, noise makers, sprinklers, some others. Nothing was working out. Nothing chased away the geese without also chasing away the lunch crowd. Then one of the secretaries ordered a some inflatable crocodiles -- a couple floating in the ponds, a few standing on the lawn. No more geese . . .

Our NY state geese don't know what a crocodile is but perhaps an inflatable eagle as they certainly take the goslings.

I know a schoolyard that had a goose problem. They put a real looking painted coyote on the playground, not more geese. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY
