Two movies,

The Deer Hunter,

Apocolypse now.

IIRC, after viewing those two movies I felt like I was coming down off of speed or psychedelics. Powerful mindfcuks.

I work in Paris and know the guy who, at the time, owned The Alcazar very well. I see him at least once a week.

The Alcazar, on Rue Mazarine, is now no longer a night club, BTW, but a swanky up-market dining establushment.
