The only place I've heard this song was as lead-in between advertising segments of the the 1980s and 90s Larry King talk radio show. This song was "sung" the way a singer who couldn't carry a tune would sing it - kind've like Rex Harrison would "sing" in "My Fair Lady". Almost certainly it comes from an older Broadway musical comedy, perhaps Danny Kaye, based on Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland"? On and off I've tried to find an mp3, or of such a musical comedy movie video, or video clip. No luck. I need help o find it. It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson | ||

Thanks. I've located the lyrics and the original video's clip. Original's singing is not what version I'm wanting to hear and, maybe, emulate while showering. Now that I have something useful, I should be able to locate the less warbling, more baritone voice. It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it.
