We have maras in our house.

And I think many people have them too.

Many people have animals in their gardens, so some might have escaped.

They won’t be able to survive in the desert 0n their own.

Unless they stay close to the feeding stations of the gazelles

Do they make decent pets, Saeed? I hadn't heard of them before.

We have them in our garden, and they are very popular with the kids, especially the young ones.

We were hunting in Northern Tanzania.

Went and sat in a wonky machan and shot a sitatunga.

Got back to camp after sunset, and my friend Dwight asked what did we get, as we all seem to be very happy.

I said I shot a sitatunga.

He said “WHAT?”

I said a “Sitatunga!”

He said “I don’t believe you! There is no such an animal!”

Took us a while to convince him it was real!

Sitatunga is on my short list. Where are you hunting?

Congrats!

We were hunting in Northern Tanzania.

Shot this one on the Malagarasi Rivers swamps of a wonky machan a few years ago.

Right now I am having a coffee by the fire in our place in Verbier in the Swiss Alps at 1,600 meters.

Weather forecast today is a bit of snow and temperatures from -8 to -18.

6.30 right now still dark.

Once the lifts open I will make my way up Mont Forte at 3,300 meters.

The views from there are spectacular!

If you wish, PM me your WhatsApp number and I will send you pictures!

Oh, we saw this sitatunga about 80 yards.

Only his head and neck were visible among the reeds.

Shit him in the neck.

As we arrived to get him, both him and us were slowly sinking!

We had to make a quick retreat before we sank in!

Yes.

If I ever catch the bloody nitwit who invented autocorrect, I will get a bag of camel ticks and stick them on his shirt and curlies!
