by Howard Weinstein ... If you want to see the list, just google USA Today NFL convicted felons. But this is all just social injustice!!! And your a racist!! The NFL doesn't need a Commissioner, they need a Warden. Let this sink in a minute..... There are 32 NFL Teams. 53 Players per team. For a total of 1696 Players. 871 Convicted Felons playing currently in the NFL. That leaves 825 Players that don't have a criminal record. You truly think the hate for police is still about suppression of black people

I believe the number of 871 convicted felons is a gross exageration. Can you source it? xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. I agree with Gato, over half the team being convicted felons is way off the mark. I suspect the 871 felons includes a whole bunch of former players from 30-40 or so years ago, so that would be more like 70,000 players. The NFL does have rules as to what their conduct should be. Why? There are LAWS in place as to a persons conduct. For example, if you fly your flag at night, by law, it has it's own special light. True, many people do fly their flag at night with no light and they don't get arrested, but it is law. So if a person is protesting or whatever, they are breaking the law. Jerry Jones, owner of Dallas Cowboys (duh) told his team and staff, you are actors on a big stage, and it is my stage and you will, or I don't care who you are, you will be gone. Hats off to Jerry, he has it right.

There were 871 arrests, but not all were felonies. https://www.usatoday.com/sports/nfl/arrests/ I guess the good news is that 50% of the players have not been arrested.

While the way and manner of their protests offends me, I am fully in support of their right to do so, if there are monetary considerations that costs them, so much the better and we'll see how strong their convictions really are. I wonder how many lives were saved by the protests against the Vietnam war? Blindly following the lead of a politician is a fool's actions. Anyone seen Bush's Iraq nukes, lately? xxxxxxxxxx When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Burning our flag is protected speech, burning our draft cards is not. "Taking a knee" is a gesture of submission and is pretty mild, in comparison. TomP Our country, right or wrong. When right, to be kept right, when wrong to be put right. Carl Schurz (1829 - 1906)

I don't care, I stopped watching the NFL after the week 1 protests. They have the right to protest and I have the right not to watch them. I don't care either. I stopped watching the NFL after they went on strike in the early 1980s. They have the right to strike and I have the right to ignore them.

Plus One, but didn't they go on strike the first time in 1973 or so? Even the rocks don't last forever.
