homebrewerLet them pray. Reduce their salaries by the percentage of time they are away from work...

SaeedThis is becoming rather silly, and I am sure it is born out of ignorance too.
Prayers are supposed to be performed at set times.
But, there is also an llowance that prayers can be performed later if it is not possible to do them at their set times.
I bet none of these nitwits know this - just as I mentioned earlier, sheer, bloody ignorance.

I think it's being done to generate some sort of political power over the employer. Now they want time to pray on company time. What will they want next? To be away from work, yet still get full pay during the various Muslim holidays?

GSP7Fire their asses. They can go do their muslin praying on their own time

WinkWe have several practicing Muslims working for us, with three under my personal direction, at our headquarters. None have ever reduced their hours or their output/performance as a result of their religion. However, I do notice that in North Africa (Algeria, Libya) and in Djibouti (where I lived for 5 years) the government agencies get nothing done during Ramadan and use it as an excuse for doing absolutely nothing and excessive absenteeism.

ZedoUS has separation of church and state. Stated policy is that you don't bring your church to work with you.
