OkieNewtonFeeling stupid
After the hurricane down here I let a couple of guys rent the travel trailer as motels were scarce. Of course they seemed honest, long story short the jokers ran off owing me money. At least the trailer was not damaged. All I have is their cell phone numbers and of course they don't answer. Does anyone have or know of a way to get a physical address, like where the bill is mailed to. Not working right now so kinda frustrated about this. Any help is appreciated.

go look on your mailbox and see if the address is on there. If so, send yourself the bill. Probably your best chance.
Ever hear of a security deposit?

Well you just learned why so few people were ready to "help" after Katrina. Sorry.
At that, you were lucky. Take a look at all those house trailers FEMA set up. And the damage they did even to the parks they were placed in. The "news" media won't show the damages because it ain't PC to do so! All the
"news" folks WILL show is where the gov. "messed up" by not solving all problems immediaty for all those who didn't and wouldn't help themselves!
No one on the national stage gives a dimm for folks like you who were taken advantage of by those "poor refugees"!

lavacaIf you've got a social or a TDL # on them any good PI can find them in about 15 minutes. Used to, law enforcement had reverse directories on phone numbers ( and some PI's could call a favor). Don't know on cell phone numbers. I think a lot of them are disposable nowadays.

jeffeosso www.anywho.com has reverse lookups, but not for cellphones.. don't need a cop to do it...
sorry you got rooked on this one, it was a good thing for you to do it, and the right thing. nect time, get a deposit, cash, and a copy of their driver's license and car tags

jeffeossoon hurrican ike.. the feds/fema make you divuldge your income.. and basically if you make more than minimum wage, they turn you down...
ike didn't care how much i or my wife's family made when he ripped through here... and a damaged roof costs the same...
"oh, we sent you an SBA loan package"...
"no, you can't claim ANYTHING from you being in the least bit forsightfull".. fema isn't paying a CENT for anything done before landfall...so all the plywood and generators, chains saws and food bought BEFORE landfall aren't covered...

You might try this
reverse lookup directory which also does cell phones. It's not free however.

I was kinda kiddin you in my earlier post. I'm a roofing contractor and dealt with all kinds after Isabel tore this place up.
I rented a house out to storm troopers also but the guys I rented to paid me in full. Next time I suggest taking friendly pics along the way so you have record of vehicles and license numbers.

MarkDo you by any chance have a friend in law enforcement? There is a chance they cantry to find the billing address for the cell numbers. Otherwise, as mentioned if you had a picture of a license plate somewhere. Did they ever use your house phone to call someone? If so you can try getting the records of outgoing calls for your home phone.
for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

MyNameIsEarlDepending on what cell company they use. You can google the number and see. Sometimes you can get it. Try googling their names also.
If that does not work, the reverse look ups on the internet that require payment do sometimes work but it depends on the cell company.
Verizon does not sell their customer database as easily as AT&T does.
The police cannot help you, at least in Arizona to aquire such information I would have to have a subponea to get the information from the cell company.
If your out a bunch of money it may be worth the investment. If your not out much, you maybe better off just taking the loss and lesson learned.

OkieNewtonIt was 300.00 Not a great big amount but it was just the idea of it. With me not working steady right now I had about halfway counted on the payment. Lesson learned I guess.

TCLouisApparently you did not get a license plate or drivers license or name and city from them while they were stay as your guests.
What happens if you file charges against them considering the amount they owe you . . . can that be done?

In Arizona that is not a theft. Since they had a contract to pay rent it becomes a landlord vs tenant issue that would have to be handled through the courts, not the police. Not sure what other states do.
