Hello, i read on a European website a fellow with a Shiloh 45/70, and he said he put a piece of newspaper between the primer and case,then ''primed'' his case ,the first i have heard of it [being new to BPCRs] is this a good idea ??? thought it was strange idea ?

I do not use over primer wads but I do use pistol primers.
