There are a couple of them on ebay selling these "ok in pictures" looking knives, that claim to have micarta and D2 tool steel parts.

I ordered a couple, I have $50-60 in 5 of them.

Everyone shits themselves one someone post a link to ebay, so you'll have to go there and search for micarta skinner. The ones going for $6-15 are the ones I am talking about.

For $60 I figure "what the hell", I spent that one a shitty pizza dinner last night for the family, if they all suck I can put $10 on them at the next gunshow.

There are 3 or 4 internet reviews for the listed companies. Take a look. None of the reviews are bad, so I figured I'd bid and see.

I have about two or three dozen Jantz Seki city blanks in my garage. By the time I order scales and screw with belt sanders and buffing I am into a knife $100.

For $60 I equipped the truck tool box with something I can leave in the truck and not worry about some of the heirlooms I have sitting in the gun safe. I reckon that is the point of these.

I figure for cheap, they look cool and if nothing else I can have someone copy the design.

I have an Elmer Keith Gil Hibben knife I am thinking about having made up anyway.

I have a few wacky Paki/indian folders. They work fine but they are thick and heavy

I have few of them too. Lacking in finesse is probably a nice description , but they make ok gifts for youngsters at Xmas and birthdays .

I have found the steel on cheaper knifes have greatly improved. I brought two Winchester brand knifes for hog hunting. Close out at wally mart for 7 bucks each.

They are ugly but hold a edge very well just what one need for skinning muddy hogs.

This one came in today. Nice handling knife, shorter handle than I like. But it is sharp as hell and the steel is hell for stout. Killed a lot of boxes with it, and it's heft made short work of that lot.

2 more came today, and I have three more coming on Monday.

I am done for a while, even at $15-30 shipped the wife thinks I am nut. I am loving them though. The most recent one is perfect, I can't imagine a nicer knife for the price.

ISIS beheaders seem to like the cheap Paki knives. I'll stick with my Randalls, Ingrams, and Dowells.

So you like cheap foreign junk, but talk trash about people wanting a Case knife?

That says a lot.

They look pretty nice to me for the money. Think I'll order a few, use them for Xmas gifts if nothing else.
