So what can a NIB Cold Steel CV Oyabun & sheath be had for these days?

Thanks mmassey...much appreciated.

I have a NIB one (never even been out of the sheath) which I got from a friend 10-20 years ago...I've never had any idea what they are worth, as I had never heard of one before this one.

Maybe I'll try to trade mine somewhere for an older Cold Steel CV small tanto which I could actually use, and some cash. Does that sound plausible ?

Yes. The bladeforum website has trading allowed for free members, but you have to pay in order to sell.
