I just recently took possession of a couple of handmade hunting knives. One is a skinner the other a coring knife with a longer blade to help with removing certain parts wile field dressing. These knives are solid and the feel is great in the hand. I have the need or I could say want as I skin several hogs a year and need good solid tools that will hold up.
