Thought I would start a new hobby and have begun (just begun) collecting knives. I have always been a pocket knife fan and so I started getting a few Case knives, mainly new ones from the net and Cabelas. Are these still good knives? I don't want to be collecting something that is a piece of crap, and I thought Case had always been a good name. Also what are some other good names in pocket knives and what are some good resources to learn more about pocket knives.

There's a webpage called knifeforums.com that has a bunch of info. I like collected the pre 1983 caseXX knives. I don't like Stainless steel, and like carbon type blades. I am not sure about the newer ones. I know they make a CV Chrome valinum versions.
