Hey everyone. I just did a search on Browning Knives and found one lousy mention.

Does anyone know if the 3 blade Alaskan is any good for general hunting/skinning???

The only Browning knife I have is one of their limited edition series. I do not see the Alaskan listed on their website but they do have a Kodiak. Do you have more information on the knife itself?

I have owned a couple of browning knives. I found them unacceptable becasue they didn't hold an edge for very long. almost as though their steel was a bit soft or something.
