Just ordered a Small Owyhee full grip Hunter from Scott with S30V steel. To those with experience with this steel, how is it for keeping an edge and to sharpen?

Keeps an edge well and sharpens easily, perhaps now the best of the stainless steels. It was originally designed for knives. I have for years used a diamond sharpener and all it takes is is a few light strokes to renew the edge.

Chuck,

You just bought a damn fine knife! I've had mine for just a few months and have really given it a workout this deer season so far. I've cleaned and help clean about 8 or more deer with it so far and it still shaves hair! Haven't needed to touch it up yet. Here is mine.

I think I'm going to send it back to Scott Cook at the end of season to let him touch the edge up on it....if he offers that service that is.
