I am currently working on a side project in my shop making a knife, and I'm planning on making the blade out of 6AL/4V. Anyone have any experience with using this grade of titanium? I've had it heat treated up to 34RC, which I realize is incredibly soft compared to most blades made from a high carbon stainless or tool steel. But it's a project nontheless. Lemme know what you think

That's far too soft for any practical blade .Even the best Ti knives get up to about 50 HRc which is none too hard.
