I am still working on this one for my Micro show in a few weeks here at the house. I just slid it together for a photo.
the handle is from the last of the 13 trees George Washington planted for the colonies. This one was planted for the Georgia colony.

The steels in the 11 1/2 inch Damascus blade include steels from the Statue of Liberty, a 1700's rifle lock plate and from the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I will be posting up a few that I will have for the show in the next few days as the show is only a couple of weeks away. I have been down with the dang pneumonia for the past month or longer so work has been slow this summer.

Loved the article on Jerry in one of the latest hunting/firearms magazines. I don't have the stack of them here at the office, but was it Sporting Classics or Peterson's Hunting?

Thanks guys. It is Sporting Classic magazine that the article is in, I appreciate the kind words.
This particular piece is looking better as I get close to finishing it.

Beautiful and historical. A functional piece of art.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.
