I recently saw an ad for hornady's latest invention: soft tips meant to be a way to put a point on bullets for lever action rifles. This sounds like a great thing, it has to improve the ballistics. I only wonder if this might hgamper the expansion and penetration of the bullet. Does anyone haveany experience or has read any real data on these bullets?

I would imagine that it would hamper the performance about as much as the plastic tips on the V-max and the SST bullets. But per Hornady
