Mike, for a heavy load, 275gr Swift A-Frames over 76gr H1000 produces 2625fps from my 24" 338WM.

I've got a 300 Win Mag with a 24" Benchmark barrel that gets the following, assuming my Magnetospeed chrono is correct:
Nosler Trophy Grade 200 Nosler Partition- advertised 2,750; chrono's at 2,800.
Federal Premium 180 TSX- advertised 2,960; chrono's at 3,040.

The best Ive found is a toss up between RL-19 and RL-22 depending on the bullet weight..I really like the 225 gr. Nosler Accubond for elk and deer.

I have a stash of 275 gr. Speers (discontinued) that work well with RL 19 or RL-22 and make a hell of a timber load for elk at 2687 FPS and shoot amazingly flat when needed..

Your loads are a tad on the light side in that I get 3010 FPS with 210 Noslers, 2913 FPS with the 225 Accubond, and can squeeze out 2800 FPS with a 250 Nosler, but my hunting load is 2760 FPS with the 250 in my present gun..I get about 2600 FPS with the 275 gr. Speer, and I have about 6 boxes of those good old hard to come by bullets, and wow they can hammer a big ole bull elk, and they shoot surpriseingly flat!!

Its them damn lawyers. Now they have the ammo making companies they represent underloading their ammunition so that they have a good defense in case a customer files a lawsuit over a blown up rifle..

For consumer safety reasons there needs to be technical standard compliance - ANSI Z299 (published by SAAMI, see link below).

Spot on Lindy2, and that explains the discrimination between loading book max loads, all because of frivolous law suits, can't blame these businesses, a 5 mil settlement will get anyones attention..and therefore its up to the loader to advance his skills to maintain the full usefulness of this rifle, I say usefulness as the proper word escapes me!!
