Well, the Accubonds should be here next week, and got can of H4350 for this combo. Rem brass, Fed 215M primers gonna get used. This time I wont get carried away with finding pressure signs, and work up a good reduced load. Guess I could get around to that reduced load with the NF 250SS's in the other thread too.

Got the bullets yesterday, here are the specs for now. 260gr Accubond OAL 3.594-3.596(brass lines up with cannelure) Trim length 2.840 H-4350 87-91gr Fed 215 primer The reason for the variance in length is the Nosler seconds have varinaces in tip length. I really need to get an oal gauge that measuers from the ogive so tip length doesnt matter. Will shoot next weekend. Tomorrow is the last day of gun season, thats more important right now.

worked loads up to 95gr, and settled on 94gr cause the recoil was comparable to my hunting load. Actually did some measuring and have converted my cart measurements to how far off the lands, and I am .047 off the lands with an OAL of 3.800(give or take, the ogive measurements from bullet to bullet were VERY consistent) and no, those rounds do not fit in my mag box. my mag box will hold carts with an OAL of 3.670. I STILL need to get a chrono. I have not gotten around to getting a measurement of how far off the lands my NF's are, I need the money to buy booleets!!

Gixxer, Have you played with many bullets other than the Accubonds and NF's. I just sent my gun over to my gunsmith to be rechambered in 375 Ultra so now I am gathering as much load data as I can in the meantime to stay occupied. Thinking about the 260 Gr. & 300 Gr. plain vanilla partitions. Interested to hear what other powders you have tried as well.

After I run out of Accubonds I am gonna buy some 300gr Hornady SPBT's. They are cheaper than the Accubond 2nds for practice. I am starting to get the idea that my gun is a straight shooter no matter what I put in it. I shot this afternoon(100yd), and the Accubonds shoot in a less than 1" group, and I loaded up a couple NF's with the 98.2 of RL, but seated the bullets shallower to .058 off the lands, and all shots touched!! I am not gonna change a thing with that load. I am gonna bump my Accubond load to 95gr, cause shooting them side by side with my NF load, the NF load still kicks harder(I think). I am trying to replicate the same felt recoil between the two for practice. Getting 80 carts out of 1# of powder is gettin old, so I am gonna try Accurate Data 86. The burn rate kinda like 4831, but the stuff is $60 for 8#!! I am gonna use that for my practice stuff. I am gonna get 100 part 300gr 2nds , maybe some 270gr part 2nds if they have em, and work up a load with those too, using RL22. I dont mind spending the regular price for "premium"(?) extruded powder for my hunting loads. H-4831sc is on the list too to try for my hunting loads. 300 and 270gr NF's too. Still have not done that reduced laod, either.

Well, shot the Accubond load over a Chrono for the first time (FINALLY!!), and my shot average was 2984fps. I did not figure out the spread. they were all pretty close for the most part. Time to back off to get around 2800fps, maybe less.

shortnend my OAL to 3.663 to fit the mag box, lowered my powder charge to 92gr cause with 94 I was getting sticky extraction, but no flattened primers . Oh yea, I am not going to pursue any more loads with RL22 beings my goal is to use less powder, not more. Same thing goes for 4831. Still need to look into Data 86. Will shoot over a chrono in a few weeks. Maybe tweak the powder charge to get more accurate. Right now 3.663 and 92gr gives me a 1 1/2" group.

gixxer, When you work up some loads for the 300 grainers let us know, mate. I'm thinking of having a barrel done in 375 RUM and shooting the 300 NF primarily in it.... Verbera!, Iugula!, Iugula!!! Blair.
