Sierra 60gr. Varminteer (flat base) with 24.5 gr Varget. These, for some reason shoot much more accurately in my AR15 than the 69gr Matchkings. Federal match cases and CCI benchrest primers. Best group to date with this load 0.136" at 100 yds.

Flyers & the PSS seem to go hand in hand, at least they do in mine. A 52 grain Sierra (#1410?) with 20 grains of IMR4198, using a CCI BR primers gives me great results with groups measuring mostly in the 2s & 3s. The one thing I've found out about this load is that CCI primers are a must. When I switched to Federal & Remington, the groups opened up to around 1 inch. I seat the bullets some .015" off the lands and load the rifle as a single shot. I've never tried the magazine as I've installed a single shot loading ramp in it. Works great for me. I know that the 1 in 9" twist calls for a heavier bullet, but this bullet works fine for. I tried the 53 MK but it didn't give good results at all. Good luck in finding a load. Rick

Powderburns: May I suggest slowing the load down a bit? I've run the 26 grs. of Varget with the 69 SMK out of a 26" Winchester Stealth....too fast. Try 24.5 grs.....the 69 SMKs like 2800-2850 fps. They will group tighter. I use CCI BR4s or Fed Gold Medal primers with the Varget. The load also works well in my shorty AR15.
