Has anybody out there tried AA MagPro in the 300WSM. I am going to be loading MagPro with a 180gr Nosler Partition and I would like to know what you guys think. I have read that MagPro works well in the 7MM Shorts, but, I am getting mixed reports in the 300. Some say it is to slow for the 300.
Thanks
Steve

I have found Reloader 19 and IMR 4350 with the 180 Nosler and Fed 210GM primers excellent....and I settled with RL 19 @ 68.0.

Hi steve4102. Welcome. Are you the same guy I talked to in that 7-08 thread over at ReloadersNest?

R19, W760, and I4831, with STANDARD WLR primers seems to work best with 165 Hdy BTSP's and 180 Hdy Spires in my M70. There was a thread in here some time ago about primers, and the standard version seemed to be the primer of choice.

OOOPS!! You asked about MagPro. Sorry, never worked with that one. I see Accurate mentions that it MAY not be the best choice for the 300. I did try some of their MR3100 with the 165's, but got pressure signs with the starting load!!

Check out http://www.shortmags.org/shortmags/forum/default.asp for some more data. You've probably seen one of the problems about the 300 WSM is data that's all over the place - MAX loads can vary by 6 or 7 grains with the same weight bullet and the same powder!!
