I have found that 26 gr of H-335, Win SR primer and a 50 gr Ballistic Tip, V-max or Sierra Blitzking will shoot right around 1/2-inch at 100 yards from either my CZ-527 American or my Savage heavy barrel Model 110 (before they made a short action version.) 40 gr bullets over a little more powder also work well.

Thats interesting. I have never shot 50 grain bullets from my Savage 110FP. It is extremely accurate with 69 gr. SMKs and I am just testing 77gr. Nosler Match. I will try some!

Rau, I have some 2015. Can you suggest some loads? PM if you wish.
Peter.

Using Accurate's old data for 2015BR powder, I worked up to 25.0 gr with a Nosler 50 gr Ballistic Tip and have had excellent results. Best results were with the Remington 7½ primers, (good luck finding some), but also had good results with CCI BR-4. Newer data shows a maximum load of 24.5 gr with the Speer 50 gr TNT, but I haven't noticed any high pressure signs in my rifle.
Be sure to start lower and work up, since what is safe in my rifle may not be in yours.

Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

Thanks very much. I will give these a try (working up of course)!

Has anyone found the magic load using WW 748 and 40 NBT?

My magic load is 25.3 grains of H335 over a 50 gr. VMAX, lit by a benchrest primer.

Not me, but I did find it with 40 grain NTBs and 25 grains of Reloader 10X. Clocks 3,797 and goes into one hole out of my 26" barreled Savage 10 .223.

Been vaporizing PDs with it for a couple years now.
