I'm moving toward Varget, using new Win brass, you suggest primers. Bbl is the 5-R designed for the 175gr SMKBT...1 in 11.25" twist. Anyone with load suggestions that have been dependable? Consistancy for 3-shot groups is what I seek.

Try some H-414, near max. This load was originally developed with military cases and a CCI-200 primer, but logically should be as good, or better, with Winchester Large Rifle primers or a magnum primer.

I'd go with Varget and CCI BR-2 primers. The max load with 175gr SMKs is 45gr of Varget. Of course start low and work your way up while watching for pressure signs. You should find good accuracy somewhere between 44 and 45gr.
