Does anyone have any accurate load data for my 9.3x62? I have both Norma & Grafs cases and 286 grain Norma Oryx heads to work with as well as IMR powders.
Any help would be aqppreciated.

Do a Google search on Norma Oryx reloading and you'll get some data; however, it will probably not include IMR powders. I have used various IMR powders in my 9.3x62, but have found that Varget is the go to powder with this cartridge. The following may give you some help:

286 bullets various

Barnes solid 57.5gr H4350 2400fps

286LapuaRNSP 60gr H4895 2400fps WLMR

286Par 60gr H4895 2332fps 210primer

286Par 60gr Varget 2400fps 210

Consider these all max loads and reduce by 10%.

Your Norma Oryx bullets will work much better at 2200 fps than 2400 fps, as it is not a tough bullet - it deforms quickly as the jacket walls are not very sturdy. Just try it once, even if you go shoot it into wet newspaper. The result will convince you.

There are better premium bullets available for the handloader; they may cost a bit more though, but the bullet still remains the cheapest part of the hunt.
