Whelenized 270Win/30-06Sprg brass, 275gr Hornady rn(discontinued),57gr VV N140,oal of 3.285" (approx. 0.020 jump in my rifle),average muzzle velocity is 2479 f/s ,SD is 5. The rifle has a 26" Douglas XX,1:12 twist barrel. This is a great year-round load. It groups 0.75" or less three or four shot groups. This load might work with the currently available 275-280gr bullets. I have fired this load from 18*f-100*f with the same grouping. It tightened up at 56.5gr of powder , but I went up another half grain to keep group size and POI stabile.
