Thanks Andy, It is good to know that there are those out there that have reactions beyond, "I wouldn't do that!" I have been going through my calibers and overloaded my guns to see what happens in some kind of systematic way. I just wish there were a load book written for adults. This is the picture of .308 LC brass shot in my 243 Turk Mauser that seems to communicate: pic of 3 pieces of brass, all with the same load, but different bullet pinch .177 pellet, 17HMR, .22 pellet, .22lr, 22mag, .222, .223, .243, 25acp, .243Win, .250/3000, 257 Roberts AI, 6.5 jap, 6.5x55, 7x57mm, 7mm Rem mag, 32acp, 32sw, 32S&WLong, 32-20, 7.62x25mm, 30-30, 303Sav, .308, 30-06, 7.5 French, 7.5 Swiss, 7.62x39mm, 303Brit, 7.62x54R, 8x57mm, .380, 9x19mm, 9x23mm, 357 Sig, 38 special, 357 mag, 38sw, 40sw, 10mm, 10.4mm, 44 mag, 45acp, 45Colt, 452/70, .410, 45/70, 20 ga, 16 ga, 12 ga, and 10 ga.

While some people ask why would Clark do this testing? I have had the pleasure to meet Clark and seeing what the parameters in firearms are is something Clark is into. Parker Ackley did the same type of things. Clark has accumulated a lot of inexpensive rifles that are expendible. It is a few of us who do testing that provides useful information that other shooters don't do or are too afraid to do. Clark clearly shows he works up his testing, and observes the results. He is an engineer and is excellent in recording his results. A few of us like to know the parameters of our firearms, both high and low. I for one appreciate the work that Clark puts into this testing. It provides a lot of useful info for those that can look beyond just the prejudical question about his sanity for doing this testing. That is why it is called testing as one forum member put it to me once. Thanks Clark! Cheers and Good shooting seafire

I totally agree, I want to know. I can look at his work and the work of others and learn a lot. If nothing else, I can learn to judge pressure by looking at brass without having to do all the distructive testing. I salute the effort. You are correct, that it is people like this that help further our collective knowledge.
