Hodgdon lists 53.0 grains of VARGET as a starting load and 57.0 grains as maximum with 120 grain bullet. I used 52.0 and 55.0 grains of Varget testing the 127 grain Groove Bullets and both loads did under one inch with the 55 grain load giving .7. Give it a try! Although not my powder of choice for the 7mmMag, I tried these just to see if I could find a cartridge that VARGET didn't work in.....not yet!! GHD

i was shooting rl22 and 120 V-max. i think it was 69 or 70 grs in it and they shot lights out. my normal load is 67.5gr of imr 4831 and the v max.
