anybody have 270wsm loads? I am looking toward reloading seirra 140gr gameking hpbt

Sorry Elmo we have only one 270 WSM in the family and it shoots Winchester factory 130 grain CT's to .5" so we are not loading for it. I have found Sierra a great resource for loads so you may contact them if you don't have an up to date manual from them.

My 270 WSM really liked Reloader 19 with that bullet. It was a near max load, I don't have my notes in front of me.

I have shot 1/2" & 7/16" three shot groups with Sierra's 140 gr SBT GameKings, using 57.5 grains of H414 and a CCI250m primer.
I shot a Whitetail Buck this past season quartering away and downhill with the bullet passing through the right and leftside ribs and the bullet ending up just under the skin in his left armpit. The bullets expansion was .685" at it's largest point and it weighed 82.7 grains. The Deer made it about fifteen yards.
I have some Hornady 140 gr BTSP Interlock's I am going to try next. I Also, just picked up some RL-19 to try. The only reason I started with H414 is because I have it on hand for my .243 with 100gr Pro Hunters & my 30-06 with 165gr SP Interlock. If you are going to use your 270WSM on larger game like I am planing in the future, I would pick a tougher bullet like the Swift A-Frame or somthing from Barnes.
