Does any one have a good load for a 338 Lapua Hunting Rifle. I have a 9.5 lb rifle with a #5 Hart barrel, Jewel trigger, HS Precision Stock. I have found one load that works ok with it shooting a 231 grain Naturalis, its shooting in about 1/2" group at 100 yds, but would like to get a tighter group. Any help would be appreciated.

Primer Fed215M
Coal 3.626
Crimped

Third load
231 grain Lapua Natualis

Hey try 92 - 100 gr of Retumbo with the 250 Barnes TSX's in your Lapua, you should be able to drive those 250`s well over 3000 fps. 100 gr in my TRG 42 with a 27" barrel gets me 3150 fps, Nasty load for our Mule deer!!! Also you may want to try US 869 but with the heavier bullets!!

Hope this helps!!

Start at 94 gr. of RL25 and a good 250 gr. bullet. Watch the chronograph and presure signs and when you hit 3150 fps. stop. You will top out a little under 100 gr. It is a screamer.

I have found that Barnes 250 MRX and 265 TTSX are the only bullets that are shooting less than 1/2" at 100 yds. I cant get the FPS that you guys are getting, I am shooting 7828 SSC with these loads Im getting around 2500 to 2600 fps. I know I need to start shooting 400 yds and longer to see how they will shoot. Do any of you think this would be ok since im not getting the higher fps.
